Fairview Parkway Extension Economic Development
The Town of Fairview has officially opened the northern extension of Fairview Parkway between Fairview Crossing Boulevard and Ridgeview Drive, completing a critical connection to the previously constructed segment of the roadway. Fairview Parkway extension economic development

This is more than a ribbon-cutting moment. It’s a strategic move that strengthens Fairview’s commercial future and improves mobility for residents and businesses alike.
A Road Built for Opportunity
Fairview Parkway was completed through a strong public-private partnership, with nearly $8 million in funding from Collin County and almost $2.75 million from Billingsley Company. That collaboration brought nearly $11 million in leveraged investment into the project.
For a community like Fairview, that matters.
When outside resources are brought to the table, local taxpayers are protected while progress moves forward. That’s responsible leadership. That’s stewardship. And that’s how you build lasting value for an entire town.
Unlocking Sloan Corners
The roadway is a major step toward developing Sloan Corners, a planned 240-acre mixed-use destination by Billingsley Company. The project is expected to include millions of square feet of commercial, office, residential, and retail space, along with open space and trails designed to preserve Fairview’s character.

As Mayor John Hubbard shared:
“Eventually, this road could carry as many as 30,000 vehicles a day, relieving congestion on State Highway 5 and bringing drivers into the heart of the future Sloan Corners development. This is going to dramatically change the landscape of our commercial district.”
Access drives development. Development drives jobs. Jobs drive long-term prosperity.
Strategic Infrastructure for Smart Growth
From an economic development standpoint, this project sends a clear signal: Fairview plans ahead.
Super Dave Quinn, CEcD, Economic Development Manager for the Fairview Economic Development Corporation, emphasized the long-term impact:
“Fairview Parkway represents intentional investment in our future. Roads like this create access, attract quality development, and give businesses the confidence to plant roots here. When you open up mobility, you open up economic opportunity.
What makes this project special is how Fairview leveraged external resources – partnering with Collin County and Billingsley Company to secure nearly $11 million in funding. That kind of collaboration protects our taxpayers while accelerating smart growth.
This corridor sets the stage for Sloan Corners, strengthens our commercial district, and positions Fairview for long-term prosperity. That’s strategic infrastructure – and it benefits every resident.”

What This Means for Business
For business owners and site selectors evaluating Fairview, the message is straightforward:
- Infrastructure is in place.
- Growth is planned.
- Partnerships are active.
- Leadership is aligned.
Fairview is not chasing random development. It is building deliberately — investing in infrastructure first, so that commercial growth can follow in a way that serves both residents and employers.
The opening of Fairview Parkway is a visible reminder that long-term economic strength begins with foundational investment. And Fairview is laying that foundation the right way.
