Trisha Cunningham, president and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB), is our guest for Episode 6. NTFB is one of the largest food acquisition and distribution organizations in the United States. Prior to her role at the Food Bank, Trisha’s distinguished 30-year career at Texas Instruments included such leadership positions as director of Worldwide Company Communications and Chief Citizenship Officer. She has served on numerous boards of nonprofit organizations and has been recognized with a long list of honors and awards, including Dallas 500, Girl Boss 2019, Nonprofit Professional of the Year, Women Leading Greater Good and CSR Executive of the Year. A native of Kentucky, Trisha is a graduate of Murray State University. She and her family fell in love with Fairview, Texas more than 20 years ago, when they chose the community for its Lovejoy Independent School District (“almost like private school in a public system”) and the opportunity to “live somewhere that felt like the country but had access to Metroplex amenities.”
“After 30 years with TI, I knew I wanted to go on to do something like this. I wanted to lift up the community with [these skills that I had been so fortunate to get]. If you look at all the global work that we did, the one unifying factor was hunger.”
