Eric Hoyle: “Getting Neighborly” Podcast Host

Eric Hoyle’s voice is a familiar one around the Fairview area; now he can add podcast host to his list of community activities.

A nonstop schedule that would slow the average person to an exhausted crawl is the very thing that keeps Eric Hoyle going, and going strong.

We didn’t ask Eric to host our podcast because we thought he needed something else to add to his busy schedule; we asked him because we knew he was the person to bring our new communication platform to life, from the very first episode. His people skills, his energy and his enthusiasm for the community of Fairview, Texas, proved us right.

“I believe the value of this podcast is immeasurable,” Eric says. “People need to hear about what a great place Fairview is and the amazing people who reside here. What better way to do that than by listening to the stories of those who make a positive impact every day?”

Eric knows Fairview and its people. He has called Fairview his work home for more than 14 years, “watching it grow from dirt to what we see on Stacy Road today. It is amazing that we can have a great economic center and a wonderful country atmosphere just five minutes apart.”

As the community events director at Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club, Eric is responsible for making sure Heritage Ranch’s 1,950 homeowners are having fun year-round, from the regularly scheduled activities to the 60 major ones planned throughout each year.

He also represents Heritage Ranch with the Allen/Fairview Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Leadership Allen/Fairview Class XXVI, he’s an active participant in Chamber networking, including the Tuesday Morning Live program.

Many local residents know Eric as the PA voice of the Lovejoy Independent School District boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, a role he has held since 2009 after impressing Lovejoy football fans with his halftime show announcing.

Or perhaps they have seen him in action as the master of ceremonies for the Allen Community Outreach gala, the auctioneer for the Chamber gala or the chair of fundraising for the Heritage Ranch Ranchers for the Cure Alzheimer’s Walk team, which raised more than $26,000 last year.

Originally from Rhode Island, Eric is a U.S. Air Force veteran whose professional background includes direct sales, bartending, and food and beverage management.

On the personal front, Eric is happily outnumbered at home by wife Denise Reagan-Hoyle and teenage daughters Madison and Hannah.

If you happen to catch Eric away from work, community service or home, it will likely be on the golf course or at the bowling alley.

Wherever you find him, though, he will be the one having the most fun, and his goal is for everybody around him to be having fun, too.

Thanks, Eric, for lending your friendly voice to “Getting Neighborly in Fairview, Texas.”
